We have been making photocopies of drivers licenses for all controlled substance prescriptions, and filing under the name of the patient. It slows us down because copy machine is back in pharmacy and then there is the time to file the paper copy. I am wondering if anybody is doing this. Also, wondering if there is a small scanner we can use along with our POS pc/ register that would save images of the ID's and let us later retrieve. hopefully you would be able to name the file , was thinking of rx number, something you could search if needed.

Does anyone know of anybody selling such a mini scanner and/ or software?
