Graduate of University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1972. I was employed by CVS Pharmacy (Former Revco DS) as Pharmacy Manager for 35 years. Retired from CVS in 2005 and now employed as Pharmacy Manager at Bi-Lo Pharmacy in Greenville, South Carolina.
I'm married and have two children, Abby and Stephen who are also Pharmacists. My sister is a Pharmacist also and works for Merck Pharmaceutical. Recently, my niece graduated from the MUSC College of Pharmacy and is also a Bi-Lo Pharmacist. My son is the Pharmacy Manager for Walgreens.
While still employed as a full time pharmacist, I enjoy coin collecting, along with my Pharmacy antiquity hobby.
I enjoy writting and hope to publish a book on Pharmacy - The Lessons Not Taught at The Colleges of Pharmacy but Learned at the School of Hard Knocks.
I have a passion and great love of the Profession of Pharmacy. I'm active in Pharmacy associations but feel they have not fought the battle to protect and defend the profession.
I launched a non profit web site for reliable health care information giving patients easy acess to affordable options for prescriptive medications.
I invite you to explore my web site at http://www.SCPharmacist.net It's pharmacy neutral and I don't promote any certain pharmacy or service provider.
The web site was featured in The Greenville News, Drug Topics, The American Pharmaceutical Association, Southern Legal Montly, etc.
At first SCPharmacist was a Dot.com domain address but because of its popularity and my naive understanding of the World Wide Web, the hosting network found a way to sell it for profit to people they say resided in the Ukraine.
That's a hard knock lesson and enough of that... but my site is now and forever located at www.SCPharmacist.NET (not dot.com = now owned and operated by the nice people in the Ukraine).
Hope to meet new friends at PharmQD and let's move Pharmacy to the next generation!
